Bigblue
Evolution over revolution
Today, Bigblue is Europe's leading omnichannel platform for e-commerce and B2B operations. They manage 9 massive logistics hubs across France, Spain, the UK, and Germany, trusted by over 600 global brands, including Tupperware, MUJI, Cabaïa, and SVR.
But when we first started working together in 2022, the company was in the early stages of this hyper-growth. Bigblue’s marketing machine was launching tons of initiatives, content demands were growing exponentially, and that was exactly when the business hit a classic enterprise B2B pain point – visual chaos.
The marketing team lacked a single source of truth for their existing branding. Current guidelines desperately needed an update, ready-to-use templates for different formats and channels either didn't exist or were outdated, and new assets were multiplying exponentially in completely different styles.
In situations like this, traditional agencies usually offer one solution: a total, expensive rebranding. But Bigblue thought strategically and knew that a rebrand was completely out of the question at that stage. Their brand was already live across hundreds of touchpoints, including a massive network of physical warehouses and product packaging. Launching a visual revolution meant paralyzing daily operations, forcing the company to repaint logistics centers, and changing signage – burning millions of euros desperately needed for direct growth. They didn't need a new visual identity; they needed strict systemization of what was already working. They needed to clean up existing assets, cut out the noise, and launch a predictable production line. That’s exactly why they turned to Unikorns Work.
Launching a design department with zero friction
The number one fear for any marketing manager choosing an external partner is a long, painful onboarding process. No one wants to spend months explaining context to a contractor while deadlines are actively burning. Our operational model is engineered to seamlessly plug into the client’s workflow without disrupting their day-to-day operations.
We started with a deep clean. We audited Bigblue’s entire visual inventory, validated it alongside their marketing team, ruthlessly threw out outdated junk, and organized the remaining baseline into clear, actionable brand guidelines. Chaos turned into a structured system.
Once the ground rules were set, we deployed a fully functional external Creative Department for Bigblue that operates as a self-sustaining ecosystem:
Control Center. Our Project Manager takes complete charge of dispatching and management. They align all of Bigblue’s marketing workstreams, manage priorities, and strictly monitor the budget.
Flexible Scaling. The project is backed by a core design team, but its size is highly variable. If the client has a massive special project or a seasonal campaign coming up, the PM quickly scales up the team. When the workload drops, the headcount scales down, optimizing Bigblue’s spend. The client only pays for actual business needs.
Harmonious Ecosystem. Our designers work hand-in-hand daily with Bigblue’s in-house marketers, as well as their other production vendors and developers.
Design production for any medium
Over the years of working together, we have delivered a massive volume of design assets for Bigblue. We covered all daily marketing needs: from hundreds of targeted ad banners and presentations to templates and promo landing pages.
At the same time, Unikorns Work's expertise goes far beyond standard digital production. When static assets aren't enough, we bring in our motion designers for animations or illustrators for custom graphics.

Here are two key examples of sub-projects we delivered as part of our ongoing support.
Wayfinding for the Paris office
Our designs live beyond computer screens. When Bigblue decided to style their headquarters in Paris, they trusted us with the physical space. We developed a comprehensive wayfinding system that perfectly translated the brand’s digital DNA onto the office walls, glass surfaces, and signage. The ultimate validation of our work came when the Unikorns team experienced it firsthand, partying at a major event hosted by the client right inside that office.
Blue House sub-brand
Bigblue frequently launches exciting initiatives for their community partners, and we handle the visual execution from start to finish. For the Blue House project, we defined and adapted sub-brand guidelines, designed a line of premium branded merchandise, created ad campaigns, and fully covered the design of all print materials for offline meetups.
Four years of stability and predictability
The ultimate performance metric for Bigblue is time. Our partnership started in 2022 and continues to this day. Over these years, we have completely removed the visual production headache from the client’s marketing team.
The Bigblue brand looks unified and consistent everywhere – from a social media icon to the signage on their office wall.
The client completely forgot about hunting for individual freelancers, missing deadlines, or dealing with talent shortages. A proven team, ready for any complexity, is always at their fingertips.
Freed from micromanaging asset production, Bigblue’s marketing team fully focused on global strategy and business growth, consistently returning to us with exceptionally positive feedback.

Is your business growing fast? Is marketing generating great ideas, but your current team is overwhelmed by execution, leaving tasks stuck in the backlog? Are you hesitant to hire individual freelancers due to quality risks, yet unable to expand your internal headcount?
You need predictable design production that will quickly understand your brand, seamlessly integrate into your processes, and take care of your tasks without the extra headache.
